Founded in 1992 by Ross and Barbara Lawson, they had been growing grapes on their Alabama Road vineyard since 1980, and decided to start producing thier own range of wines.
This wine was produced from a selection of vineyards primarily in Marlborough's Wairau Valley, with a small portion of the grapes coming from the Awatere Valley.
Ten Rocks' Sauvignon Blanc also contains a small portion of Semillon, which adds a crisp, herbaceous dimension to the fantastically finished wine.
An excellent Sauvignon from Marlborough: a lovely bouquet of fresh gooseberries leads to a crisp palate with a long, minerally, dry finish.
Overall this Sauvignon Blanc is a good weight, has a lovely texture and a long smooth finish to reflect the great vintage.
