Nose: Coffee at first glance, before wax, royal icing and pine needles. Underneath lies a waxy cask, quite hard but with red fruits and buttercream to liven things up.
Palate: Sweet, but balanced with absolutely classic Springbank oils, a touch of marzipan. Give it time and this Springbank becomes fruitier and dustier with water.
Finish: Medium to short, peppery at first with liquorice imps, green apple and that butyric note back at the end.
