The 2015 annual release of Springbank 21 year old is a single malt whisky matured in a mixture of casks including ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, ex-port and even ex-rum!
Nose: To taste, this is an old school Springbank with the dusty dunnage warehouse flavours.
Palate: Characteristic of the distillery accompanied by vanilla, honeycomb and a hint of Belgian chocolate.
Finish: On the finish, the orange zest character is again evident, alongside butterscotch notes, developing to a salty undertone.
