Ardbeg Corryvreckan - 70cl 57.1%
A replacement for the much-loved 1990 Airigh nam Beist, Ardbeg Corryvreckan had pretty big shoes to fill, but this Corryvreckan doesn't disappoint!
Ardbeg Corryvreckan takes its name from the famous whirlpool that lies to the north of Islay, where only the bravest souls dare to venture.
Swirling aromas and torrents of deep, peaty, peppery taste lurk beneath the surface of this beautifully balanced dram.
Like the whirlpool itself, Corryvreckan is not for the faint-hearted! Awarded The World’s Best Single Malt in 2010 by the World Whiskies Awards.

THE TIDES HAVE TURNED
Matured in a slightly higher proportion of Oloroso Sherry casks, this sublime 19 year old whisky is the epitome of an aged Ardbeg.
Part of a highly sought-after and collectable Ardbeg series, Batch 4 is the latest expression. This sublime Traigh Bhan, like the bottles before it, inspired by Islay’s Traigh Bhan beach (pronounced tri-van).
Ardbeg Traigh Bhan masterfully performs the impossible – balancing the lull and crescendo of its intense flavours. Bottled under a full moon, the tides have turned for this rare spirit as more mentholic, herbal notes rush the senses, with intense smoke left behind in its peaty wake.

Ardbeg Corryvreckan - 70cl 57.1%
Nose: Buttery & creamy with herbs and a hint of pine.
Palate: The creamy aspect follows through onto the nose with tingling spices, fresh fruit, medicinal, clementines and orange peels.
Finish: Salty, more medicinal, smoked meats, peat, tarmac, chilli and salt.
Ardbeg 19 Year Old Traigh Bhan Batch 4 - 46.2% 70cl
Nose: On the nose, rising aromas of herbal pine and fennel flow into sharp notes of citrusy lime sorbet and medicinal lozenge, while eucalyptus and saddle soap follow on the breeze.
Palate: An intense wave of wood smoke crashes over the palate, leaving ripples of decadent dark chocolate and ground coffee in its wake. Sweeter notes of lemon curd and peanut brittle cut through the swell to reveal delicate hints of creamy raisin fudge and hazelnut.
Finish: Sweet and peat collide with creamy vanilla fudge, dark cocoa powder, and a warm, woody clove tingle. A sharp, intense, and satisfyingly long finis.
