Silver Match Hillingdon Pipe Lighter with Pipe Tool - Silver & Black (SMH2)

I Bought this lighter to try out, as im a Dupont, Corona iM user mainly i needed something to use that was as functional but not as expensive if lost, and i am very impressed with this Silver Match lighter. Being a avid collector of vintage lighters, i know this brand very well as i own {and restore} many petrol old type vintage silver matches so its good to see them still going, which is what first attracted me to this model of lighter. I filled it up with purified butane {which will keep your lighter clan and running for years}, adjusted the flame height to low and it lit on first go. Adjusted the flame higher and wow, i was surprised at length of the flame and how clean it was burning. The ignition switch is a bit odd, as it slides off the back of the lighter, but with a few tries, you get used to it and if you position you thumb more towards the flame outlet, it doesnt feel as awkward. The tools are quite robust and best of all, they dont just flop out of the lighter. The flame adjuster is quite stiff and you need a good finger nail or screwdriver to move it. some moan about this and prefer the lighters with the adjuster at the front bottom, like most others lighters have. But.. i think having one like this is better as when you set it, it stays set. The other lighters with the height wheels can be adjusted accidently and before you know it, youve lost your eyebrows. So overall, this is a cracking little lighter, very robust, heavy in the hand and pocket, lights easily & has a powerful soft flame. For the price? its excellent value & i highly recommend buying this.
