Like other great Habano brands such as Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta, Sancho Panza takes it name from a masterpiece of world literature.

In Don Quixote, the famous 17th Century Spanish novel by Miguel de Cervantes, it was Sancho Panza who served the errant knight as his faithful squire. His name was first used for a Habano in 1848 and since then it has enjoyed a reputation for quality amongst discerning smokers.

The range today comprises three vitolas including the Molino or mill which is a Cervantes size. Don Quixote was, of course, famous for tilting at windmills.

Filled with a medium bodied blend of filler and binder tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo zone.

Tasting Notes

An ideal every day smoke at a good price. Lots of flavour and earthiness with a nice flawless burn.

"...Slightly pressed with attractive, tawny colour. The draw is a bit tight, offering a very cedary smoke with some nuttiness and earth on the finish..."

I received one of these as part of my subscription this month it was one I was looking forward too once I knew what Id received but I was so disappointed iv never had a cigar so tight I literally could not get anything through and by the time Id cut it a few times and poked around I just gave up shame really, I may buy another just to see what there really like

Not many people smoke this blend which make the construction perfect almost every time, Medium strength, sweet, almonds, cedar and a hint of pepper. David - C.Gars Ltd Cigar Ambassador

There are so many hugely popular marevas out there (Montecristo No.4 and Cohiba Siglo II to name just a couple) that it can be easy for some to be overshadowed, such as the Sancho Panza Non Plus. However, I found this to be a very tasty cigar. The wrapper was smooth, dark and oily and it had a slightly firm draw that loosened up nicely as the cigar progressed. It isn't the most complex smoke, but it gives a very enjoyable and consistent earthy flavour, with hints of nut and a touch of spice when exhaled through the nose. These flavours remain mild throughout, making this an ideal early morning smoke. If you're a fan of the Mareva format I'd certainly recommend at least giving one of these a try. - Calum, Turmeaus Chester.

A good value smoke, light enough for any occasion. Lack of depth and complexity means it is probably not everyones' cup of tea, but a satisfying stick nonetheless. Uncomplicated, it imparts subtle tones of pepper and leather and offers an easy draw. Some uneven burning experienced during the initial stages. Would buy again.

Just had one of these for the first time, great little smoke, slow burn, good leathery notes with a hint of coffee, lasted for me 1hr 10mins, which i beleive to be good value for money. Would reccomend to first time cuban smokers and seasoned herfers alike
