A miniature of Rock Rose Gin, made by Dunnet Bay Distillers in the very north of Scotland.
Rock Rose Gin get its name from the distiller's first botanical forage along the cliffs of the Pentland Firth, where they were introdued to Rhodiola rosea, a rose in the rocks.
Over a thousand years ago, the Vikings would harvest wild exposed cliffs like these to gather Rhodiola rosea.
This was thought to give them the extra strength to continue on with their long, arduous journeys.
This gin uses this "Rock Rose" and a blend of local and traditional botanicals to create a unique taste from the Highlands of Scotland.
Flavourful, fresh and zesty yet very powerful from berries with a long smooth finish. A fine gin and one of nature's little treats.
