La Rica Gordito Maduro Tubed Cigar - 1 Single

I am currently enjoying this stick right now. I'm almost done and I must say it's been very enjoyable. A great draw with lots of satisfying smoke. Good construction and even burn I think this is the best la Rica I've sampled. For the price of this cigar it's well worth a punt . Highly recommend

This was such a let down, as I was really looking forward to it, having tried the smaller tubed Maduro from another company. When I took it out of the tube the cap had a couple of small nicks in it so I decided to use a punch instead of the cutter. I had not realised how dismal a damaged wrapper could make a smoke! It was not pleasant to have loose wrapper, however, I continued, the taste was good and I was beginning to enjoy it when half way down the wrapper began to come apart!! Such a disappointment, I am new to cigar smoking, in fact new to smoking anything and because of this I am trying many types of cigar. I did enjoy the Chinchalero Novillo Fuerte Maduro and have ordered several of them from CGars and they should be arriving shortly. However, given the price of this cigar I could have had 2 of the Chinchaleros. So will not be ordering it again.

A very big cigar, actually was uncomfortable to smoke this kind of RG. I didn't find it at all sweet. In fact left a very salty flavour on my lips. Not the nice salty of eating pistachios, rather like licked your lips after swimming in the sea. Would recommend pairing with something like a port to balance it out.

Lovely appearance.With even consistent smoke and burn for an hour or so. Creamy and sweet flavour. Recommended.

Bought 1 of these at the same time as a Chinchalero Novillo – Fuerte Maduro and preferred the Fuerte Maduro. Mainly because the Fuerte Maduro was more chocolatey like I'd expect from a Maduro and this cigar was peppery. It should be noted that although this site gives the measurements of both cigars as 4" & 60 ring guage, the La Rica cigar was slightly longer and fatter than the Fuerte Maduro. I did enjoy this cigar though and only knocked a star off to make the distinction between the Fuerte Maduro which I preferred and is cheaper.
