Gaius Petronius Arbiter (AD27) was a Roman writer and courtier for Emperor Nero who devoted himself to a life of pleasure. Yet far from being an ordinary, vulgar profligate, he became known as an accomplished voluptuary. 

Showing capacity for outrageous indulgence, he was looked upon by Nero to be the absolute authority on questions of taste (arbiter elegantiae), especially with the science of alchemy. In his memory the superb brand of cigars 'Regius' was created. The alchemy of cultivating and blending the finest aged tobacco to achieve the best possible taste, an even burning quality and elegant aromas.

Regius Seleccion Orchant 2021 Robusto Cigar

First off, Cgars Ltd possibly have the best customer service in the UK. All distributors should be sent their way for consultations. Just finishing my first from the box, ordered at 1:59pm on Thursday and with me, safe and sound, ~12pm the following day. Cigar box is sealed in plastic and I was concerned this might have starved the sticks of humidification, instead they’re perfectly preserved. Smoked my first one, in fact still smoking my first one, 58 minutes in and still a good thumps worth left, bands off, still smoking very well. In terms of construction, high quality, I actually picked the cap off rather than snipping it and haven’t had to deal with any stray strands falling or coming loose in my mouth.

Perfect consistency for my liking, slightly sponge-y but firm. Even burn, two nice shells of ash and potential for a third. Flavour wise, what can I say, it’s a young cigar; leafy, persistent pepper-y bite from the tobacco, most complexity was roughly half way when I had a green bell pepper/ capsicum hit. These should be aged, will they become an exceptional cigar? I don’t know. I will have probably smoked them all by now. Excellent value, excellent construction, good potential for ageing. Cgars - well done! Oh and by way, made it to its third ash shell, about an inch and a half remaining, still no burn or unpleasant bitters - quite on the contrary, an oily heady flavour. Possibly the best bit. Great Cgars.

Great cigar. Im a big Regius fan as these are a fantastic smoke. Smooth and earthy and get sweater as you go through. I would definitely buy another box of these.

Regius Seleccion Orchant 2021 Campana Cigar

Very enjoyable 45 minutes smoking this. I like a cigar to produce large plumes of smoke and this certainly did. Flavours werenÂ’t massively complex but the taste was delicious in my opinion. And for the price, well it is a bargain! Great service again from cgars.
