Quality is the keynote for Gaja wines and the Ca’Marcanda wines from the Tuscan coast bear the power and velvety lushness that all Gaja wines are known for.
Three varieties are fermented separately and then blended in January or February after harvest. It is then aged for 18 months in new and slightly used barriques, followed by several months of bottle ageing.

With a wide array of aromas on the nose, there's no mistaking that the palate is dominated by dark plum fruits and cassis with structure soon added by soft, supple tannins and a spicy, lingering finish.
