From the brand new 'Old Particular' range of whisky by Douglas Laing, released in 2013 as their initial release.
The distillery closed in 1983 and has a cult following, making bottlings extremely sought after.
This edition has been slightly reduced in strength to 51,5 %, which is the norm for older whiskies in Douglas Laing's 'Old Particular' series.
Distilled May 1982 and bottled August 2013, this is one of only 286 bottles available from a Refill Hogshead.
Nose: Distinctly Islay initially with soft summer tar then softly smoked barley.
Palate: Subtle smoke trails through salty/sweet Malt time? Sugar and soot vanilla.
Finish: Carries a cough drop style plus damp bonfire ashes and smoky vanilla.
