A true St Patricks Day special with some really nice Irish tobaccos.

Included in this sampler:

1 x Italian Green Pipe - Bent or Straight

1 x 10g Peterson Old Dublin

Flavours are well balanced and each leaf can be identified by their taste and aroma.

There is no forcefulness from the Latakia of this mixture and it doesn't dominate with its smokiness.

There is sweet spiciness from the Oriental which leads throughout, backed up by the Virginia's sweetness and more grassy, earthy flavours.

The Latakia is there providing its rich smokiness like a camp fire smouldering in the background.

1 x 10g Peterson Irish Mixture 

To begin there's a tantalising bitter smoky quality to the taste of this blend, which evolves elegantly into a smooth gentle woody whiskey flavour.

Its aroma is of honey and whiskey, almost mead like with peaty notes.

To call this tobacco an aromatic is no lie and to say it's true to the leaves is honest, there's the best of both worlds here.

1 x 10g Comoys Irish Mixture

The flavours of good honest tobaccos are forefront, with raisin sweetness from the Black Cavendish and hay-like hues from the Virginia.

The scent is sweet, fruity Black Cavendish with fig and dried berries amid meadow hay, damp from the morning dew. 

The whiskey element, be it real or imagined, is very subtle as if the mist of the spirit has been circulating in the air while the tobaccos matured.
