Description

Considering Miltonduff is the seventh-largest distillery in Scotland, bottlings of Miltonduff whiskies aren't as common as you would think!

Founded by King Alexander II in 1230, Pluscarden Abbey is situated 6 miles southwest of Elgin.

Miltonduff distillery is said to be situated on the site of the Abbey's meal mill, two miles from the Abbey.

This Gordon & Macphail bottling was aged for 10 years in sherry casks and bottled at an ABV of 40%.

More Info

Nose: Medium bodied with notes of sherries peels, fruit salad and a hint of sweetness from honey notes.

Palate:Relatively full and well balanced with delicious toffee notes and more sweetness coming from marmalade. Spiced oak soon makes an appearance providing warmth.

Finish: Good length with soft wood.
