Made in Germany at the McLintock pipe factory, famous for their flavoured pipe tobaccos.
McLintock Syrian Latakia is a great example of this most exceptional form of tobacco.
Latakia is a form of tobacco that can be historically traced back to an accidental curing process in Syria. The farmers had a surplus of tobacco and had no buyers. As such found themselves short of storage space they stored the tobacco in their houses. The tobacco was cured by the cooking that took place in the houses.
These days the tobacco is produced in Cyprus as changes in Government in Syria and also various Wars have made this tobacco to source from its place of Origin.
Cypriot Latakia is still produced by Curing the tobacco with native hard woods and shrubs to create its peppery tang.
