Kininvie continues to release their single malt under their name, much to the joy of curious whisky enthusiasts everywhere.
This is the third release by the distillery and with the first two selling out everywhere we don't think this one will hang around for long.
Distilled in 1991, Kininvie 23 Year Old was matured in a combination of Sherry and bourbon casks before being bottled at 42.6% ABV.
Nose: Light, floral and delicate with fresh fruits – apple and mango, with a touch of red-berry fruit.
Palate: Plenty of fresh fruit – peach, apple and passion fruit alongside a delicate spiciness and a faint malt note. All in all the palate has a lovely balance and soft mouthfeel.
Finish: A touch of honey with fruit and malt gently fading.
