Description

This gift pack contains a 70cl bottle of Machir Bay and two branded glasses making it the perfect gift for Kilchoman fans.

Unlike most Kilchoman releases, Machir Bay is matured in both Bourbon barrels and Sherry casks affording it a beautiful balance of rich tropical fruit, peat smoke, light vanilla and intense sweetness.

Different editions of Machir Bay have been released in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Kilchoman Machir Bay - 7ocl, 46.0%

Nose: Sweet, vanilla fuses together with lemongrass and just a hint of peat.
Palate: Rich and creamy, the sweet vanilla soon turns into dark chocolate, spicy clove and peat smoke.
Finish: Medium-long finish with dark chocolate, clove and peat smoke.
Comment: This displays the best of both worlds from the sweet vanilla from the bourbon barrels to the dark chocolate and clove from the oloroso casks. These flavours are then beautifully integrated with the peat smoke, overall an exceptional whisky.
