A limited release, small batch artisan bourbon.
This Jefferson is very unusual, and offers a thoroughly distinctive flavour profile, thanks to its 6 to 10 year ageing in very lightly charred barrels allowing a myriad of secondary flavours to express themselves that would otherwise be masked by a heavier char.
Jefferson's bourbon is made with a mashbill of 60% corn, 30% rye and 10% malted barley, resulting in a very approachable, easy-drinking bourbon of the highest quality.
Nose: Relatively crisp and fresh with of creamy vanilla and spice as well as notes of oak, toffee and hints of smoke.
Palate: Soft, warming and supple. Present are notes of sweet vanilla, more spices and toffee. There is also fruit with berry fruits and a touch of orange zest.
Finish: Soft and easy-going as it fades out on notes of vanilla sweetness, custard and corn.
