Royal Brackla 21 Year Old Single Malt Highland Scotch is a bold and noble spirit; in 1833 the distillery was the first to be granted a Royal Warrant by the Royal Household.
This Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky is aged for minimum of 21 years in a selected oak cask and the oldest of Three Expressions of Royal Brackla series.
This whisky was finished in a combination of Oloroso, Paolo Cortado, and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and The king's Own Whisky Granted First Royal Warrant by King William Iv in 1833. It's a serious and distinguished whisky expression that is fragrant and rich with beautiful sherried notes.
The distillery style is opulent and fruity and this is a regal and assured dram that elegantly combines toffee notes with richly fragrant summer berries dusted in cinnamon and muscovado sugar
The Royal Brackla Distillery – founded in 1812 – is one of the oldest distilleries in the world; it stands proudly on the Cawdor Estate, a historic residence linked with Shakespeare’s Macbeth
This 21 Year Old Single Malt Whisky is best served neat or over ice.
Nose: An aroma of ripe tropical fruits like papaya and guava. A light touch of smoke in the nose and chocolate flake.
Palate: Rich chocolate continues, with just a few dark spices adding complexity in the mouth. Luxuriously rich and smooth, with caramel, more honey and sherry.
Finish: Sweet, a return of those tropical fruits, with cocoa, chocolate sponge and cream at the end.
