Crafted from a combination of the finest Speyside and Islay Single Malts, including aged GlenAllachie, Batch 2 of our Lum Reek 10-year-old is the perfect balance between peat and rich, fruity character.
The spirit was laid to rest in premium Spanish sherry casks, wine barriques and virgin oak casks at The GlenAllachie Distillery.
As time passes, the flavours marry and extract additional characteristics from the wood, creating a deliciously sweet yet subtly smoky flavour profile.
Batch 2 of our 10-year-old is bottled at natural cask strength of 55.8% ABV, with no colour added and non chill filtered for maximum flavour.
Nose: Waves of grilled honeycomb, ginger and vanilla, with cinnamon, campfire smoke and treacle.
Palate: Bursting with dark chocolate, burnt orange peel and honeycomb, followed by smoked spices, butterscotch and roasted coffee beans.
Finish: Notes of ginger on the finish.
