Made exclusively with organic barley grown on Mid Coul Farms in Inverness, Bruichladdich The Organic 2011 is a fruity, sweet Islay whisky with an elegant island character.
The wash is fermented for longer than average and distilled slowly, resulting in a spirit that is rich in fruity esters and expressive of the terroir and exceptional quality of this barley.
This spirit is matured for 11 years before bottling without chill-filtration or the addition of spirit caramel.
This Bruichladdich boasts a creamy, fruity character. An exquisite single malt displaying beautiful citrus and crème brûlée character.
Nose: Fruity aromas of melon, peach and apricot mingle with honey, lemon meringue pie.
Palate: The palate initially offers notes of pear drops, vanilla fudge, chocolate and marzipan.
Finish: Aspects of the palate continue, before developing toasted rye bread, buttery popcorn, smooth caramel and toasted oak flavours
