The packaging has all the usual hallmarks of Holger Danske; a Snekkja Longship, a gold band, the arched text of the brand.
Opening it reveals the tobacco that is of the usual high quality for Holger Danske with short cut, medium wide ribbons that pack well and light like a dream. Colours ranging from golden brown to chestnut with deeper black flecks mottling the weave of tobaccos.
The smell arising from the pouch is first wisps of nougat with hints of raisins and chocolate.
Upon lighting, the aromas of the casing and topping become more apparent but never overpower.
With this tobacco you are led by the base tobacco flavours and allowed to explore their enhancement at your leisure.
This is an aromatic tobacco that compliments its leafy base, instead of masking it.

A new offering from Holger Danske for 2014, They have opted to go for a more Danish/American style of moist and sticky Black Cavendish.
The tobacco is first fermented at the plantation before being given a second steaming at the factory. This dual fermentation results in a sticky fragrant blend that is extremely mellow and cool smoking tobacco.
The blend has been top dressed with a Nougat flavouring with hints of raisin and Chocolate.
