Condrieu is Guigal's legendary white wine. Produced from steep terraced hillsides, it is made from Viognier vines with an average age of 25 years.
One third of the must is fermented in new barrels, and the rest in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is used throughout, in order to lend a certain creaminess to the wine.
Élevage takes place in the same containers as fermentation, over a period of 8 months.
The aromas are reminiscent of white fruits, especially the apricot which so often characterises Viognier. The palate offers plenty of rich roundness, while maintaining an authentic minerality.
