The first ever single pot still Irish whiskey finished in Bordeaux casks, Green Spot Chateau Leoville Barton!
Green Spot gets its name from the coloured marks that were traditionally painted on the end of the maturation casks during storage by Mitchell & Son, the Dublin wine merchants and brand owners.
Matured initially in a mixture of ex-Oloroso Sherry, fresh American oak and ex-bourbon barrels, this fantastic Green Spot whisky is then finished in the ex-Château Léoville Barton Bordeaux wine casks for 12 to 24 months.
Nose: Wild raspberry, a touch of pot pourri, crab apple, sweet honey and gingerbread.
Palate: Delicious toffee and refreshing fruit, green apples and lemon. Vanilla, redcurrant and warming spice.
Finish: Long and relatively dry with cereal and plenty more spiciness!
