Erik Stokkebye is the 4th generation tobacconist from a stellar lineage steeped in tobacco tradition.
Erik pays tribute to the Stokkebye heritage with the creation of these blends, 4 of which are named after each of the Stokkebye patriarch's birth year and a 5th representing the year in which the Stokkebye family business began.
Each blend reflects unique personalities and blend preferences beginning with great grandfather Erik Peter, who founded the family business in Denmark, and finishing with Erik's own personal favourite 1957 and his brother Lars' 1966 blend. You will likely find your own personal favourite among this wonderful selection of premium pipe tobacco blended by a true master.
Coarse Cut 1982, the centennial blend celebrating the 100th year of Stokkebye tobaccos. What a treat this course cut blackberry and vanilla Aromatic is! The added flavours are not too strong, allowing the base tobacco flavours to come through.
The texture of the blend is intriguing, with an array of colour that tempts the eye. It starts smoking easily and burns evenly, giving smooth, creamy smoke.
A mild to medium tobacco that allows you to explore every nuance of its charm at your own leisurely pace. You may find that this tobacco gets better with age too if you can resist smoking it until it matures!
