Elijah Craig was named for a reverend who lived in Virginia where he kept a warehouse dedicated to storing barrels which unfortunately experienced a fire.
Out of that fire he managed to make the best of things as he used the charred casks regardless and found they imparted a lovely character.
This is a great 12 year old small batch bourbon, which has been named in his honour.
Aged to perfection and bottled at a higher strength of 47% Elijah Craig is rich oaky and round.
