Description

Frances Elizabeth Willard led the temperance movement in the prohibition heartland of Evanston Illinois - the the very town in which FEW is based, and they thumbed their noses at such puritanical nonsense by adopting old Frannie's initials as their distillery name.

This FEW Spirits Tasting Set contains:
- FEW American Gin
- FEW Barrel Aged Gin
- FEW Standard Issue Gin
- FEW Rye Whiskey
- FEW White Dog

Contents of the set are subject to change. However, rest assured that whichever dram set you order will include 5 superb drams which will either match or exceed the value of what is listed.

Tasting Notes

FEW American Gin:
Nose: A vibrant aroma full of notes of lemon peel and warm vanilla.
Palate: Vanilla sweetness with chewy juniper and top notes of lemon.
Finish: Juniper continues onto and throughout the finish.

FEW Barrel Aged Gin:
Nose: Rich, spiced aromas with hints of lemon peel and juniper.
Palate: Rich, almost biscuity. Cloves, stem ginger, hints of tart berry fruit, oily juniper and rich spice.
Finish: Long, gingerbread-lined finish. Berry fruits on the tail.

FEW Standard Issue Gin:
Nose: Juniper blossom presents first followed by spice and a grainy quality.
Palate: A little weighty with herbaceous notes that are off-set with candied orange peel and more juniper.
Finish: Warm and peppery with a little spice on the tail-end.

FEW Rye Whiskey:
Nose: Caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon and wood. A very enticing nose.
Palate: Starts off with a buttery rye, cinnamon, light orchard fruit and some honey. A touch of citrus then appears with a bit of wood and some baking spices.
Finish: Long and slow with rye spice, ripe orchard fruit, spices and wood.

FEW White Dog:
Nose: Corn is very prevalent but then malted barley comes through with a certain elegance about it.
Palate: Reminiscent of cherry jam with a ground pepper followed by a herbaceous quality.
Finish: Surprisingly long for an un-aged spirit and holds sweet notes of vanilla and glacé cherries.
