Don Tomas Petit Corona - 5 cigars

Appearance The cigar had a mid brown wrapper and was slightly darker than I've come to expect from Honduran cigars. It was well wrapped with only a minor section of stretching. The finish was good but there was a prominent vein running the length of the cigar. The wrapper was a bit large and garish for my taste but was of very high quality. Cutting of the cap was clean and easy. I liked the look of the cigar and it gave off a very pleasant pre lighting aroma. Smoking Lighting was simple enough and I had no issues with an uneven burn all the way down. The draw was fine if but a little tighter than I'd like. The cigar emitted a pleasant blue hue of smoke but not as much as I'd like. The taste was woody with an aftertaste of earthy spice. What was interesting to note is that the taste didn't really develop or alter a great deal during the smoke. Only a slight bitterness towards the end but that was probably due to me not ending the smoke as soon as I should. Overall, this cigar was very pleasant and I'd enjoy it on a regular basis as a daytime smoke. I don't think it was special enough to be enjoyed for an event however. As far as value for money is concerned, these cigars are incredible value and I would not hesitate in recommending them. A great cigar for a beginner to try when they want to start increasing the size and intensity of their smoke.
