Chateauneuf-du-Pape is the most famous wine of the southern Rhone Valley and its name dates from the time of the French Popes.
A blend of 75% Grenache, 10% Syrah, plus 15% of Cinsault, Mourvedre, Counoise and Vaccarse.
This is still relatively young wine although it definitely has a lot of potential to develop nicely over the next 6 - 9 years but will continue to improve for over 20 years
This popular Rhone wine is made predominantly from Grenache grapes, giving intense, robust spicy flavours and a long peppery finish.
The palate, has a lovely texture and a medium body as it leads up to the clean finish.
