The C.Gars Ltd Summer 2012 Auction will feature the largest number of sealed vintage boxes of Havana cigars ever offered. Available are also a good selection of much sought-after Davidoff, Dunhill, pre-embargo, vintage, mature and limited edition Havana cigars, all kept in perfect condition.

The event, held at the Boisdale Canary Wharf in July is an excellent opportunity for cigar aficionados, or as the Managing Director explains, former smokers who don’t know what to do with all those boxes of Havanas they’ve invested in.

Mitchell Orchant, the MD of C.Gars Ltd adds ‘there’s a huge global demand for what are now some of the most collectible antiques of the future and could be worth hundreds or thousands of pounds.’

Former head of cigar auctions at Christie’s London, Brian Ebbesen, agrees. Using his knowledge and experience, he feels Lot 250 is the most likely to attract the highest bidders on the day. The magnificent Cohiba Humidor handmade from five precious woods for the 2003 Festival del Habanos. It contains 50 Cohiba Gran Coronas and is signed by Fidel Castro. Aficionados say its estimated price of between £30,000 and £40,000 is realistic and reasonable.

The high profile event, expects to auction off over 300 boxes with bidders flying in from around the world.
