C.GARS Ltd - Team Lunch at Che's London

The C.GARS Ltd team, have been recently treated to a lovely team lunch at the one and only and most certainly, the directors' favorite, cigar friendly Che's restaurant at St.James's, London.

One might think, that since London and Norwich are not more than 3 hours drive apart, it is rather difficult to do regular office parties, and therefore, this one seemed to be rather a 'after 5 years of business' staff reunion :o)

Representing our Norwich office, it was great to finally see our lovely undisputed Website queen Laura, the ever so sweet 'to customers' devoted Caroline, and the 'handsome man himself' Gary.

Proudly carrying the flags of our London office were our 'ever-so-gorgeous' warehouse manager Paul and the 'fine-looking' humidor manager James, accompanied by 'I'll do anything for C.Gars ltd' Czech-chickie Michelle.

And of course, one must not forget the 'never missed a great party' the smokey SmokeyMO himself.  The honorable host of the whole team lunch was our dear friend Peter Wilson from Murray-Frame & Love, to whom we would like to say our BIG THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

The venue has been chosen with respect to the nature of our business, good life, and passion for cigars, as St.James's street has been referred to as a small cigar heaven in London. (Although, I must point out that our lovely London and Norwich offices have been, transformed into 'cigar heavens' in their own right in the past few years.)

I must admit, that leaving our safe and smokey offices proved to be a bit of a challenge. The main problem was, to be well stocked up with excellent selection of morning (since the lunch started at 12pm)and evening (as the lunch finished well after 12am) cigars for the whole team, with new sharp cutters and full torch lighters to last for the day (and night).

The boys enjoyed lovely.....Hoyo Epicures 2's, San Cristobal La Punta and Davidoff no.2

The girls preferred.........&Upmann Petit Upmann and Romeo cedros no.3

As always, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, all the way from the starters, which included a variety of salads, a vast variety of freshly baked breads, pasta and soups, through the main course, which varied from red snapper to sea bass,
from lamb caponata with new potatoes to lovely Thai chicken, or simply, my favorite, large portion of fish and chips. :o)

And don't get me even started on the desertsā€¦ sticky toffee pudding, white chocolate rice pudding and of course vanilla ice cream...our favorite with a Havana cigar.
The drinks for the day included....Mojito cocktails, St Emillion and Sauterne......perfect with our chosen stogies.   One would expect that the main topic of discussion would be catching up on our private lives and gossipā€¦.  But, even though we intended to relax and leave the business behind for a while, in the end of the day, the afternoon turned into an enthusiastic discussion on new product lines, or improving our web-designs. :-)

We all thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing afternoon and evening, full of fabulous food, drinks, gossip, bright new ideas for the businessā€¦. and let's not forget the fantastic smokes!!!!!!!!!! :-)

It was hard to leave Che's, but we all are looking forward to our next reunion (and actually a hard work for a change) when we meet this summer at the Lakeside Challenge C.Gars Ltd charity weekendā€¦

Please, see the following link on how to sponsor our weekend of fun and hard work, all for a great cause. - lakelandchallenge.htm
