This stunning 12 year old has a delicate taste of sweet, honeyed fruit and gentle warmth will bewitch you. Not even a hint of smoke. Smooth, easy and an absolute delight.

 

Tasting Notes

Nose: Light, fresh and fruity. Cereals, citrus zesty orange, marmalade and barley.

Palate: Soft and nutty with delicious caramel, a touch of salinity before finally, oak.

Finish: Soft but quite abrupt. Caramel rounds the finish off nicely.

Taste Test

Jim Murray has scored this Deanston 12 Year Old 84/100 in his 2020 Whisky Bible, ‘All the fun is on the impact, where the barley is about as intense as anything else produced in Scotland.’
