Gordon & MacPhail is the Trading name of Speymalt Whiskies while also owning the Benromach distillery, which they purchased in 1993.
Some of the brands include Connoisseurs Choice, Cask Strength, Rare Old and Speymalt.
Distilled in 1982 this Dallas Dhu is a special Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, that was bottled by Gordon & MacPhail.
Please note as this is a vintage whisky, conditions of bottle/label and liquid level can vary.
Nose: There is a sweetness to the nose, notes of cereal; malty barley and porridge oats with hints of wheat and a gristy, floury character.
Palate: The palate is rich with a lovely smoothness. There is a barley sweetness and the tannic oak underneath. A development of fruit with gentle astringency, hints of zesty lemon with a little mandarin with honeyed oats.
Finish: Full of sugared barley and malt with silken ease as it makes its departure.
