Formerly Known as Craven Aromatic Blue

The Craven Aromatic is another classic of yester year that has lasted the test of time.

The Craven aromatic is produced from a blend of Burley and Virginia leaves that have been long pressed for a smoother, cooler smoke, before being enhanced with a sweet elegant casing resembling bonfire toffee and biscuit.

The result is a smooth smoking Medium strength tobacco

This tobacco has a slight woody flavour developing into smooth chocolatey flavour. As you get further through the bowl you start to notice a slight hint of coffee. A perfect tobacco in the evening.

I almost didn’t get this, I was being narrow minded, thinking it some old codger smoke destined to go the way of so many others. Wrong wrong wrong! This is actually delicious and leaves my moustache (and Covid mask) smelling like burnt toffee. Don’t expect anything too complex, just good tobacco flavour and that cinder toffee coming through to make a good honest and smooth smoking experience. There’s a reason it’s still around after all these years and I urge everyone to give it a go. This is an old time blend I don’t want to disappear so let’s keep it going for future generations of pipe smokers to enjoy.

