Upon opening the pouch there is a lovely scent of tobacco with mixed dried fruits. Ive heard people describe it as having a soapy scent and taste but I simply didnt get this. The flakes rubbed out very easily and it came at the perfect moisture content for smoking directly from the packet: not too wet that it was difficult to light, but not dry and crusty either. Ive smoked several bowls, using both my Country Gentleman Missouri Meerschaum corncob pipe and a Meerschaum pipe (Ive heard that these ghost briar pipes something awful). The tobacco lights without a problem and the first thing that I noticed was the plumes of smoke it produced. These werent overly potent in scent, but this was definitely the most smoke output Ive experienced from a pipe tobacco. Condor Long Cut produced a smooth and full bodied smoking experience. It produced absolutely no tongue-bite. Regarding tastes this was simply a straight up tobacco taste, I couldnt pick out which tobaccos exactly, I would guess that it is quite a mixture as none stood out. There were faint hints of a light alcohol casing and a bit of a woody note to the tobacco. Sadly the pleasant fruity note was present when in the pouch notes didnt come through to the lit taste, but neither did the soapy/floral notes that I had been warned about. Overall I would say that this is a solid flake tobacco. It seemed to be medium to full flavoured, but it did lack depth; the notes didnt change duration of the smoke. Certainly not for those that like a light smoke or are into aromatics, but if your a fan of straight up tobacco flavour then this is well worth a try.

This is fast becoming my favourite smoke. When I first pack the pipe, I get the flavour of rich fruit, almost like a fruit cake filled with currants and raisins. Over time this fades to a darker, heavier smoke, more woody but just as pleasing. The flakes are easily to roll and pack in the pipe and, once it's going, the tobacco stays lit. Highly recommended.

Easily rubbed out.A great smoke, some find it "soapy",however in a good quality meerschaum I find this non existent. As an everyday tobacco,it's hard to beat,English "Lakeland" at its best.A great favourite,my stand by for all seasons.

An enjoyable full bodied smoke, Easy to burn, cool yet slow burning with a pleasant tasty smoking experience. The aroma starts off quite sweet with hints of fruit scented with a welcoming perfume of light floral and spice. Towards the end of the smoke, the taste brings out a darker experience delivering more earthy and leathery tones. I would highly recommend! Michael, C.Gars Ltd
