Tired of searching for new locations to enjoy a cigar in London so I’m in the Big Apple herfing my way through Manhattan for a few days:-)
Don’t believe that it’s not cigar friendly in New York as I’ve had no problem smoking my stogies…so far:-)
The only problem is finding a taxi driver who speaks English which has so far eluded me completely.
Davidoff shops are cigar friendly and the shop on Columbus Centre has a cigar lounge which was crammed full of cigar smokers when I went.The staff at the Davidoff store on Madison avenue were very helpful and welcoming.My thanks to them.
The Carnegie Club at 156 West 56th is an excellent cigar lounge with incredibly attentive service,an excellent selection of Scotch,comfortable furniture and great music 10/10 a must visit for cigar smokers.
Club Macanudo 26 East 63rd street is also in the first class league,reasonable food and good ambience
The Peninsula Hotel 55 and 5th I am told has a roof top smoking area so I’ll be checking that out in the next day or two.
Azucar Cuban restaurant 495 Washington Blvd in Jersey City is a must for cigar aficionados.I went there with my pals for dinner ( fabulous vegetarian menu) whilst listening to live Cuban music.Service was impeccable as was the atmosphere in this very busy restaurant.The first floor cigar lounge was perfect for our after dinner cigars.Looking forward to returning soon.
No smoking in Chinatown …at least not yet but a quick mention for the Buddha Bodai restaurant at 5 Mott street.Vegetarian as well as kosher Chinese cuisine…now that really has the bases covered for me! Great value and excellent food.
Woodberry Common outlet centre in New Jersey : 220 shops with quite a few bargains to be had.the shops are all outside with benches outside most of them.I spotted at least 3 chaps ( plus me!) sitting outside shops smoking good cigars whilst wives were no doubt shopping:-)
Well it’s early morning and I’m looking out from my hotel suite over Times Square and it’s still buzzing,the City definitely never sleeps,the weathers mild and it’s time to head out for some coffee and my morning cigar:-)
