Sample all of the cigars featured in the list with our Top Cigars for Christmas and New Year 2017

Whether you are a regular cigar smoker, an aficionado, a beginner or someone that just indulges once a year, Christmas and New Year's Eve are the big days in the calendar, and for some of us, they've almost become synonymous with our "best" cigar. So... the big question, what to choose to enjoy over the holidays?! Let us know what your favourite cigars were by posting on our Facebook page. So here they are, our 10 best cigars to end your 2017 and celebrate in style.

10.
Regius Orchant Seleccion 2017 Campana

Regius Campana Banner

Starting off with a quality cigar, that's impressive in looks as it is in price. If you are looking for something that won't break the bank but will still give you plenty of enjoyment, the Regius Campana should be your go to cigar.

9.
Avo XO Preludio

Avo Preludio Banner

Avo, made by Davidoff, are a line of quality smokes at a more affordable price than their luxury counterparts. Using tobacco aged for 6 years, this cigar delivers sweet, tangy and creamy flavours, whilst maintaining an easy going profile. An ideal cigar if you are planning to enjoy one straight after Christmas dinner.

8.
Camacho American Barrel Aged Robusto

Camacho Aged Barrel Banner

These cigars have been aged in Bourbon whisky casks for 5 months in the Dominican Republic which leads to rich oaky flavours and sweet bourbon aromas. A complex, well-crafted cigar that will excite your taste buds and bring you some unique flavours.

7.
Cohiba Talisman Cigar (Limited Edition 2017)

Cohiba Talisman Banner

The Cohiba Talisman had to make the list really, but some of you may be surprised by its place. Well the reason? Don't do it. It's definitely going to be a head turner and is a truly impressive cigar. But my advice is, if you only have a few of these in your stash and aren't able to get anymore... save them and let them rest. It will be well worth waiting a few years! If your heart is set on one of these, then the answer is to stock up on more to age.

6.
Drew Estate Liga Privada T52 Robusto

Drew Estate Liga Privada Banner

A large, bold, robust cigar meticulously blended to create a complex cigar that should be slowly sipped at to truly be appreciated. Using 7 different tobaccos and crafted by some of the very best torcedor this is a very remarkable cigar.

5.
Padron 1926 Series No. 2 Maduro Cigar

Padron 1926 Banner

The rarest cigar made by Padron using tobacco aged for 5 years. This cigar was rated an astonishing 97/100 in Cigar Aficionado! A luxurious, dark chocolatey, extremely well balanced cigar.

4.
Bolivar Super Coronas

Bolivar Super Corona Banner

The 2014 Limited Edition Cuban cigar from Bolivar - now with 3 years extra box aging to it. This has mellowed the cigar and turned it into an extremely refined smoke from one of the best brands in the world (in my opinion). Perfect with a full bodied whisky as you get further into the evening.

3.
Trinidad Topes

Trinidad Topes Banner

One of my favourite Havana cigars released in recent years - everyone I have smoked just keeps getting better and better. I am a bit biased though as they are my favourite brand! Big, bold, impressive, complex, rich - just everything you want for your "special cigar".

2.
Montecristo Dante

Montecristo Dante Banner

Luxury cigar from the most popular brand of Cuban cigars in the world. A showstopper of a cigar, to finish the year in style. Sweet and buttery, almost butterscotch type flavour, subtle pepper, earthy undertones. Extremely well balanced and sophisticated blend.

1.
Davidoff Winston Churchill The Late Hour Robusto Cigar

Davidoff Late Hour Banner

The best cigar for Christmas and New Year 2017 (in my opinion of course!). Recommended for the Late Hour of Christmas day, when everyone has gone to bed, to slowly digest the day. How Churchill would have ended his Christmas. Contains tobacco aged for 6 months in finest Scotch single malt whisky. Rich flavours of dark chocolate, coffee, black pepper. Sweet and spicy woods. Delightfully complex. A long finish similar to a bold, peated whisky. Slow down the pace and take your time with this one to truly appreciate the complexity.

I hope you enjoy my suggestions of the best Christmas and New Year cigars. Give one (or all of them) a try over the festive period - I'm sure you will love them all 😋

Merry Christmas Gif
