Domain: Château Corbin
Appellation: Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
Type: Red
This Grand Cru classé of Saint-Emilion takes us to the northwest of the appellation, bordering Pomerol, on sandy and clay soils that cover ferric clay basement.
The best plots are retained which are that of the oldest vines - these are divided between two varieties: 80% Merlot, Lord of the Right Bank and 20% Cabernet Franc, his faithful lieutenant.
After handpicking and being carefully sorted twice, wine making takes place in a temperature-controlled concrete vats before ageing in French oak barrels for 16 to 18 months.
