Description

COMMONWEALTH 1776: A Virginia combination of Old Belt Reds and flue-cured Brazilian leaf. With zesty notes of citrus.

Plug tobacco is a form of chewing tobacco that is made by pressing and compacting cured tobacco leaves into a dense block or brick. This type of tobacco is typically cut or sliced into smaller portions before being used for chewing or smoking. Plug tobacco is often considered to be a more traditional form of tobacco use and is commonly used in areas where chewing tobacco is popular. Plug requires slicing and rubbing to prepare it for smoking. Leaving large slices or chunks will reduce the burn rate whilst thinner slices will provide a faster more intense burn. Due to the added fermentation process, plug tends to be full bodied and would only be recommended for the experienced smoker.

New Jersey based Century Tobacco Company. Over the years, the production factory passed through several USA companies following 'buy outs' whilst becoming the No.1 selling bulk (loose) in the USA.
