Cave de Fleurie dates back to the First World War when the women of the village tended the vines whilst the men were at the front line, the oldest co-operative in Beaujolais, Cave de Fleurie are responsible for making over a third of all AC Fleurie wine on behalf of its 320 members.
The wines are fresh, attractive and bright with clean fruit flavours and their move to screwcap is another welcome innovation.
Colour: Intense garnet red robe.
Nose: Opens on to small red fruit and blackcurrant.
Palate: Good attack on the with a supple feel and fruit and freshness towards the end.
Best served with: Ham cooked on the bone, white meat, roast saddle of lamb, Brie de Meaux.
Deep red in colour with a clean and rounded bouquet of ripe red fruits. Structured, balanced
