Bottled at cask strength from Gordon & MacPahil. An Islay single malt distilled in October 1991 and matured in refill Sherry hogsheads for 22 years and was finally bottled in May 2014 for their Cask Strength range.
AROMA without water:
Fragrant with sweet honey, lemon and lime aromas. Hints of candied fruits develop with delicate bonfire embers edge.
TASTE without water:
Fruity. The palate has red apple, ripe banana and mango flavours which are complimented by a touch of oak and delicious milk chocolate influences.
AROMA with water:
Hints of more red apples, lemon and initially lime. Sweet marshmallow aromas compliment a lingering menthol note.
TASTE with water:
Slightly salty with pistachio's and peanuts. Dried fruits flavours are noticable with peach and apricot which develop and combine with a dry smoked edge.
