Master distiller Jim McEwan has married together the very last mid-eighties vintage casks in the Bruichladdich warehouses, distilled in 1985 and aged for 27 years before bottling at 49.3% ABV.

Nose: Sweet malt and hints of figs with sultanas as orange rind and a touch of walnut develop. A little toasted oak, sea air and tropical fruit.
Palate: Oaky, with delicious soft sherry and fruit. Guava and cantaloupe, a little caramel and barley wine round the palate off nicely.
Finish: A long, spicy finish with oak and hints of dried apricot.
