Benromach is a traditional distillery on the Speyside region, owned by a family of whisky-lovers intent on making single malt the right way, how so? By keeping things simple!
It takes just four ingredients barley, water, yeast and a human touch. All the casks are hand-filled, individually weighed, stencilled by hand and stowed in the traditional dunnage warehouses.
Benromach Cask Strength single malt whisky delivers rich and spicy sherry aromas, orange zest and dark chocolate with a palate of baked fruit, black pepper and a soft smoky finish.
The first batch in this Vintage 2012, bottled at 60.2% ABV.
Nose: Rich sherry and spice, leading to soft orange zest and dark chocolate.
Palate: Stewed fruit and dark honey give way to baked apple. Sweet red berry flavours develop alongside subtle cracked black pepper.
Finish: Long and full bodied with soft smoke and sweet fruit.
