A beauty of a BenRiach, distilled in 1997 and aged for 19 years before enjoying a finishing period in dark rum barrels.
Bottled at cask-strength and released in a batch of just 266 bottles exclusive to the UK, the golden preserve of Cask 8634 won't be on our shelves for long! Located in the ‘Heart of Speyside’,
in the North-East region of Morayshire, BenRiach displays all the traditional charm of a Speyside distillery.
Built by John Duff in 1898, BenRiach draws its water from the Burnside springs located underground, deep below the distillery.
Limited to 1 per customer.
Nose: Caramelised sugar over roasted orchard fruits and apricot jam. Mixed peel and a hint of white pepper add a crisp contrast.
Palate: A perfect balance of toasted oak spices, crisp citrus, rich yellow plums and rum soaked raisins.
Finish: Similar to the palate with a beautiful cracked barley finish.
Whiskeybase has scored this BenRiach 19 Year Old 1997 85.14/100 overall on their site through customer recommendations, with one customer describing the overall taste of ‘Fried banana fritters and a side of orange marmalade dip.’
