A nicely-presented bottling of the famous Haitian rum Barbancourt to celebrate their 150th anniversary.
Barbancourt Rum is still distilled in Barbancourt's chosen home of Haiti, having survived a century and a half of tumult in the Caribbean country with a history almost incomparably turbulent.
Since 1952, the rum distillery has been located on a new site, surrounded by sugar cane fields that grow much of the sugar cane used for the rum. Barbancourt prides itself on using only pure sugar cane juice for its rum, no molasses short-cuts.
The 1952 move was of huge importance: it only became possible for Barbancourt to expand its production and export its rum after moving from its previous small cottage to the new location.
Today, each variety of Barbancourt Rum in our online shop is aged, from the 2 Year Old White Rum to the 15 Year Old Réserve du Domaine.
