The Balvenie 21 Year Old Stories Second Red Rose is a unique Balvenie aged for 21 Years and bottled at 48.1% ABV non chill filtered and finished in Australian Shiraz Casks.
We expect this bottle to be extremely collectable given the hype that surrounded the original Red Rose release all those years ago.
Inspired by the story of Mary Douglas who lived in the nearby Balvenie Castle and paid rent to King James II in the form of a single, red rose each year.
“The Balvenie Distillery is built on stories,” said Stewart - Balvenie Malt Master. “It’s what sets us apart and makes our whisky what it is.
“Each expression in the Stories range has a distinct narrative as to how it came to be, and each whisky tells its unique tale in liquid form through first-hand recollections of the many characters involved.”
If you have a bottle you are extremely lucky, as this was a distillery exclusive bottling that created such a buzz customers travelled from all over the world to visit the distillery and grab a bottle!
Limited to 1 per customer - please note, stock is limited from secondary market releases.
