An Autumn 2014 release of the fifth edition in Arran's peated series, the stunning Machrie Moor.
Lightly peated to 20ppm, this Arran is named after the eponymous peat bog located on the west coast of the island and has proved a popular addition to the distillery's range.
Arran, the popular Machrie Moor single malt Scotch whiskies from the Arran distillery are peated, adding a core of earthy smokiness to their Island expressions.
Nose: Light, smoke gradually builds. An earthy peat lingers with hints of citrus, apple and pineapple.
Palate: Malt, a hint of vanilla is present with yet more citrus rounded off by waves of peat.
Finish: Peat lingers, as well as the bright fruit notes.
