Bottled to mark the 10th Anniversary of the Ardbeg Committee, this single Islay malt Scotch whisky was released in 2010.
On the 15th February 2010, the release of Ardbeg Rollercoaster was met with sheer excitement.
The 50,000 Committee Members were easger to get their hands on the limited 15,000 bottles and apparently the stampede of interest took down the entire Ardbeg website for some time!
The whisky is composed of different casks from ten different years from 1997 to 2006.
Nose: Perfect fusion of sweetness, spice, creamy malt and deep smoke; sensational example of multi-layered classic Ardbeg. With water, smoke bellows from the glass.
Palate:: Smooth and peaty, silk-velvet smoke, black cherries, cloves, chocolate ganache and fudge. Fresh coriander, menthol and violets, chewy sugared almonds and tangy lime juice.
Finish: Long and scented with fragrant wood smoke, spices and clotted cream.
