A smooth gentle cigar. It lights well, evenly, draws without effort. Not a hint of uneven burning. This is the sort of cigar one would take to a dinner party, or a regimental mess, not in full dress uniform, for a formal gathering, more a monkey suit or DJ. Five would go into a case, and smoked after dinner with a good Port. Big enough to be a proper cigar, to make a statement, to be shared with others as a gesture of friendship, not so small as to look out of place in ones hand, just right. The first two thirds are soft, cream caramel, the smoke is not as deliciously aromatic, heavy or wonderfully rich as say an Brickhouse Mighty Mighty ( but it's also less expensive.... a cigar is never ever "cheap" ). Then the last third gives a hint of ( it took me a while to remember) burning Honduras Teak. That odd oily heavy scent drifting thru the thick canopy, as my unit sat with the native Pech or Lenca Indians. A nice smoke, smooth, soft, elegant, old world, the band lending to that style. Would I buy again? No. Just personal choice.

I agree with Alex. Although the construction , was impressive (I cut this stick with a v-cut and it drew without hindrance and smoked beautifully); it tasted bland and was distinctly middle-of-the-road. It reminded me of a desperate pack of Hamlet I foolishly purchased in a cheap store in Aberfeldy (when I couldn't locate a decent smoke). The draw was papery and without any depth of flavour. I almost didn't finish it and considered switching to an Inka in the humidor. But I persevered and here I am reviewing it. It smelled rich and deep and pleasant but unfortunately the smoking experience was 'beige.' I wouldn't purchase this again.

Quite an average cigar, especially for this price. First half was good but nothing to phone home about, second half got hot and the last third especially was unpleasant. I smoked an Antonio Gimenez Lancero yesterday which was much, much nicer.

Great change of flavours as you make your way through to the final third. Not too strong, a great cigar for the amateurs to get to grips with.
