The second batch of Allt-a-Bhainne single malt Scotch whisky, bottled by 'That Boutique-y Whisky Company' and distilled by the Allt-a-Bhainne distillery in the Speyside region.
Features novel stylish artwork on the label.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, blended malts, blends and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.
Batch 2 is a release of 40 bottles.
Nose: Milky coffee develops into soft fudge as it opens up. Pineapple rings, a little lavender and a quick waft of roasted green peppers too.
Palate: Soft and creamy, with a helping of cinnamon and black pepper to balance. Thick custard and Victoria sponge cake appear later on.
Finish: The last slice of Victoria sponge continues, accompanied by lemon curd on granary toast.
Jim Murray has scored this Allt-A-Bhainne a 77/100 in his 2015 Whisky Bible, describing it as 'all kinds of botanicals on the nose and follow through on delivery.'
