Aberlour Single Malt comes from Speyside, the most renowned whisky producing region.

Aberlour 10 Year Old is a great entry-level malt, ideal for beginners, with a fine sherried spiciness. Pound for pound, this is one of the best that Speyside has to offer.

Matured in a fine balance of sherry and bourbon casks, aberlour offers a rich, smooth, mellow flavour, marrying aromas of autumn fruits with hints of spices including cinnamon and nutmeg.

More Info

Nose: Sweet and full. Sherried raisins, hints of toffee and a pleasant nuttiness.

Palate: Quite full-bodied, spicy rich fruitcake, toffee notes and a creamy malty-feel and the vaguest whisper of something akin to synthetic banana.

Finish: Caramel and honey, the malt still evident and the sweet spices still linger.

Taste Test

Remains a lusty fellow though here nothing like as sherry-cask faultless as before, nor displaying its usual honeyed twinkle. 43%

Delicious whisky that will not overpower your choice of cigar. Rich and delicate and opens well with a drop of water. Similar to the Glenlivet or the Macallan fine oak 10yr old.

This whisky is a good choice for beginners as it is smooth and rich. It can be enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to take the edge off if need be. This will open up the whisky and expose all of its flavours and undertones for a tasty experience. An enthusiast will be able to appreciate a long, slow and warm honey glaze that it leaves down the throat. This is one for those whom enjoy a fruity whisky. Other reviews frequently express the great value and quality for money of this 10 year old and they are not wrong! It's a popular go to dram.
